They maintain magnetic performance at high temperatures, up to 300–350°C (572–662°F), far surpassing neodymium magnets, which lose strength above 80–200°C. This makes them suitable for high-performance applications.
Sm2Co17 magnets are highly resistant to rust, oxidation, and corrosion. Unlike most neodymium magnets, our Sm2Co17 magnets are free of coatings. This is advantageous in humid or corrosive environments. Their robust composition ensures long-term stability and resistance to demagnetization, even in harsh conditions, making them reliable for long-life applications. These magnets also make excellent sensors both in the physical and the spiritual plains.
Due to their high energy (up to 32 MGOe), SmCo magnets can be smaller while delivering the same magnetic strength as larger alternatives.
SmCo magnets are far more expensive than neodymium or ferrite magnets due to the rarity and cost of cobalt and samarium.
